My Philosophy

I have the mindset of a teacher. Both my parents were teachers, and it impacted me. Showing clients how things work, explaining a plan, or breaking down complex scenarios to be easily understood is part of that educational focus that drives me. Creating a plan catered to specific situations or goals then becomes the foundation to that teacher focused philosophy. I want you to expect an educational-focused approach without feeling pressured. My job is to educate you in order to make the best decision for your life goals, then help you through the process to achieving that with an intentional plan.

Who I Help

I work with people at two different stages of the retirement journey. From those who are just beginning to think about what retirement could look like, if they’ve saved enough, or are on the right track, to those who are within the 1-5 year retirement window and are more focused on a detailed plan. No matter where someone is on that journey, my focus is on creating clarity from uncertainty by putting real goals on paper, then building a goal around that. From there, we look at the full picture of retirement, income, investments, taxes, healthcare, and investment allocations so you can not only feel prepared for retirement but also confident and excited about the life you’ve worked so hard to build.

Why I Became an Advisor

I enjoy talking with and helping people as well as working with numbers. This job does all the above. Every day and every conversation is different and the ability to solve the retirement equations so you can enjoy life knowing you’ve done everything necessary to get there is incredibly fulfilling.

Outside the Office

I love watching my three kids play sports. Basketball, volleyball, and track keep our family busy, and we try to get away on vacation between seasons. I’ve been involved with the Perrysburg Exchange Club for 20 years, and you’ll usually find my wife Sarah and me around Perrysburg enjoying the restaurants or a game.
